Please add a simple way to route Missive’s OpenAI integration through the EU region endpoint.
What’s needed
• Option to set the OpenAI base URL to https://eu.api.openai.com/v1/ (instead of the default https://api.openai.com/v1/)
• Ideally a per-integration or account-level toggle (e.g., “Region: EU”)
Why
• Many European companies must keep AI processing in the EU to meet GDPR and customer requirements.
• OpenAI supports EU data residency when requests use the EU endpoint. We have EU residency enabled on our OpenAI account; we just need Missive to call the EU endpoint for compliance.
Success criteria
• Missive lets us select the EU endpoint without custom workarounds.
• All OpenAI calls from Missive respect the chosen endpoint, keeping data processing in-region.
This small configuration option would make it straightforward for EU customers to use Missive’s AI features while meeting GDPR obligations.
