Sort conversations in ascending or descending order / Filter by date

So this request is a little out there, but leaving it here anyway.
I would love the option to sort emails from Oldest to Newest. Not all the time, but as an option. When emails are ordered new to old, i end up reacting the the newest emails and ignoring the oldest.
I would like to start attending to emails in a less-reactionary, First-In-First out process.
Another idea would be to allow the inbox to be filter by date. Essentially, filter out any emails that were received same-day and only show emails that are at least 1 day old. This is taken from Tony Hsieh's "Yesterbox" process: https://yesterbox.com/

this sorting issue is driving me bonkers on a regular basis and really making Missive difficult to use. it adds so much noise to our inbox when something as simple as assigning an email or adding a label or note jumps it to the top of the list. it assumes that any action means "this is the most important thing for everyone to look at". that creates a ton of excess noise that is just not necessary. some actions are just administrative in nature and I wish Missive would support that. I understand the complexity of changing something like this. Why about adding an account-level setting that controls what actions warrant a re-sort/bump of that conversation?

Search and filtering needs a massive overhaul beyond this. Coming from Front to Missive, this is a massive gap I wasn't expecting. In Front, you can filter and sort by basically anything. Something that cuts down on time massively and is now a huge paint point. https://help.front.com/en/articles/2131

Would love to see this as well. Also to be able to set this as setting for a particular team.
Like in my own inbox i would like to see newest first. But in our customer care team oldest to newest so it is worked First In First Out

We would love to be able to sort conversations by date because it would let us have more control over the order we research and take action. Wouldn't it be cool if you could also manually sort them by drag-and-drop?

Philippe Lehoux this seems to be a really popular request- any chance of at least an update to whether it's planned or not, and if not could you please give us an understanding as to why it's not being considered? As someone has pointed out this has been asked for since 2018 and it happens in other providers.

Commenting to bring this into view again 🙂 I'd really love to see this feature available, when my inbox gets busy it means that I struggle to get to the oldest ones and so they sit there and get older, uglier, and more problematic!

We know Missive doesn't allow for displaying emails from newest to oldest and it doesn't seem they are interested in implementing that feature. Perhaps at the very least they could create a filter that would display emails from newest to oldest?
