It would be great if comments in email threads and conversations could reference previous comments (a "reply to comment" feature). That way, if there's a long discussion it is clear what comment is being replied to. I would picture something like how emails that are linked in conversations currently work (clicking on it goes to the email). Even better if comments that have replies were somehow marked (with a link that goes to the comment(s)).
