Search is one of the areas of missive I really don't like. It's not intuitive, feels like its always been a second though, and it takes way too long.
I'm open to anything that would improve user experience with regards to search, and I do agree, it takes forever to show results.

More "options" could be helpful. Ex: search in "Team box x", this string + other string. A bit more power...

Sam Boyd / David Chabot: You're right; one of the current challenges with search in Missive is that it doesn’t narrow the search area.
The good news is that a new filter system is coming soon (currently in QA/beta). It will make it much easier to refine your searches by account, team, date range,etc. and in theory, speed up the search process!

If there's one thing that will get me to leave Missive, this is it. Search speed is unbearably slow.—and inaccurate. If I'm ever trying to find something, I have to go directly to Gmail.

Just to chime in - faster searching across multiple mailboxes with a lot of emails in each box would be very helpful.
