It would be very useful to be able instead of "print -> select printer -> generate PDF" etc to simply select Download as PDF (just as it is possible to download as eml) .

Simply one click solution :)

Grzegorz Kalinowski if you use Gmail for your email hosting there are several plugins that allow you to export PDF version of the email to Google Drive. You can export in bulk as well. 
I did this couple years ago, but don't recall which plugin I used at the time. I found this two on Chrome Web Store that might do the job:

Constantin Luchian: Thank you for your advice, however we are talking here about additional functionality in Missive, which means that the fact that I have Gmail does not matter here. Because the mail works anyway over IMAP. So in order to be able to do this I would have to have such functionality in the Missive, and not as an add-on for example to Chrome :)

I would love to be able to Mass Print emails which could be saved into a PDF format. Print a whole label/folder as well.
