The responses from Missive support date back almost three years, when they stated:
- Search behavior is unfortunately dependent on your email service provider.
- Generic IMAP servers sometimes have poor search capabilities.
- Later this year, we do plan on indexing and searching emails on our own servers.
There is also an earlier statement from 2018:
“We do plan on improving our search architecture at some point in order to not be dependent on each IMAP server’s capabilities.”
At this point, I’ve largely lost confidence that this is still on the roadmap.

FYI, I believe this is being worked on already in conjunction with some advanced options/filtering.

To continue on the search features, I would like to be able to search within "CONVERSATIONS" as we are using these as a way our Team can communicate about various topics.

Please also include an option to display all conversations exclusively (like the inbox is for emails) and the option to search in it. Searching for conversations that haven't been touched for a while is near to impossible.

especially searching for emails. Search seems to be sort by oldest match which is opposite of what is wanted. Rarely do I get the email I wanted as the first or second suggestion.
