It should be possible to enforce settings (preferences) across the entire organization.

This ensures uniform configurations and allows you to train employees in targeted areas if certain things are not different for everyone. In addition, you don't always have to set these settings manually when onboarding.

An alternative would be to be able to export at least all settings that you have set.
