Currently, swipe actions in Missive only allow for “Assign to Me” or “Assign…” which requires multiple clicks, especially for users who belong to multiple organizations or manage many teammates.

It would be incredibly helpful to introduce a customizable swipe action like “Assign to [Name]” where the user can pre-select a default teammate (e.g. an Executive Assistant). This would allow high-volume users to delegate emails much faster without interrupting their workflow.

Use Case:

In executive workflows, a large portion of emails are delegated to a primary assistant. Manually assigning emails each time through “Assign…” adds unnecessary friction. Having a one-swipe action to directly assign to a default person would significantly speed up inbox processing and delegation for executives, managers, and team leads.

Why it matters:

• Saves time for power users

• Improves delegation efficiency

• Reduces clicks for users with multiple organizations

• Aligns with the fast triage experience Missive is known for

Bonus:

Ideally, this could support more than one preset option (e.g. “Assign to EA”, “Assign to Manager”) depending on the user’s setup.
