I would love to see a feature in Missive that allows users to filter messages by a primary label while excluding specific sub-labels.

Use Case:

I have a label structure like this:

• Label: New Submission from Contact Form for Brands

• Sub-label: High Quality

• Sub-label: Low Quality

Currently, I can filter for messages with the main label, but I can’t exclude messages that have specific sub-labels. What I need is a way to view all messages with the New Submission from Contact Form for Brands label except those tagged with “High Quality” or “Low Quality.”

Why This Matters:

• Improves workflow efficiency by allowing users to focus on unclassified or unreviewed messages.

• Reduces clutter when reviewing submissions.

• Provides more flexibility in how labels are used for organization.

It would be great if Missive could introduce an advanced filtering option that lets users exclude certain sub-labels from searches. If this is something you’d find useful, please upvote!
