Since support told me they are not sure what people expect from a slack integration exactly, here's what I would want that is in line with how Missive work. To receive and send slack messages from directly within Missive just like how sms works. I am part of a few different team slack channels and would love to be able to share access with my team to manage and respond to slack messages treating them as external client communication. Having the internal chat feature on there as well will allow up to collaborate internally before responding. Idk if this is possible with Slacks API but it would be great.

As a small agency, we are in many slack workspaces with clients. I myself am in 9 workspaces. If Missive could cull new direct messages and mentions from all of these slack domains into my missive inbox, it would be a life changer! Of course, this would be technically complex since if you reply to the message in slack or leave a channel etc you would want those messages to be archived in missive.

Probably most wanted feature from us — people miss assigned emails because all communication happens is Slack. Getting notifications there would be great.

@David Huck: I"m guessing we do. We use slack for 'team' communication, and we use Missive for 'client' communication.

@Andy Miller: Yeah we’ve been dealing with this too. Except we handle all client comms in Missive — discussing things there about clients.
Then we use all task communication via Asana.
And anything else that’s not related to a client or a task, we use Slack.

@Skyler Reeves: That's exactly how we're structured too, honestly it works just fine for us.
We do occasionally participate in clients' slack channels for larger client relationships. When we do, we use the Slack Asana integration to create tasks from client requests. Or we train the client that while we can chat and answer questions in Slack, the final task request needs to be via our support email.

Seems crazy there's no slack integration. I mean it's a core requirement these days right? :)
