Not sure if it's any help to anyone, but I recently moved from Windows to Linux and have used Progressive Web App support in Chrome and Firefox (needs a plugin) to "install" Missive on my desktop. It is very close to my experience on Windows. Hope that helps someone while we wait.

Please a Linux Desktop app. There are a lot of reasons to natively use Linux now over Windows and Mac especially due to WSL and Homebrew delivering performance hits over using docker containers natively in Linux. Using Linux as my main and would love to have a Linux Missive Mail App.

I agree that it would be a great idea to make the app cross-platform.

Does Chrome on Linux support the "Three Dots > Cast, Save, and Share > Install Page as App" option? That gets you 90% of the way there.
