Advanced search options

The search functionality for IMAP accounts needs significant improvement. Users need advanced options—filters for specific fields (subject, sender, comments), a user-friendly UI for search operators, and better performance to locate relevant content quickly. The original request was made in April 2023, which remains a critical need. Please prioritize this in your roadmap!

Yes, definitely need more search options and filters to work in combination with each other. It's 2024 and this should be standard

Also chat search...Desperately needed.

5 years later and we still don't have much in terms of search functionality... In addition to expanded search options, the ability to search for comments made by a specific individual on an email thread would be extremely helpful. Our team will comment steps and work done which we will go back and audit at the end of the month and having to scroll through a hundred emails vs filtering for "comments: john smith" would be extremely helpful.
Maybe in another 5 years..

I would really love the ability to create custom searches such as (emails that have not been replied too).

And searching for your team members by name which should result in all conversations you had with that person. Even narrowing down search into only comments and conversations would be 💯

It's great that most of the Gmail search operators are implemented in Missive, but it would be so much easier to search if there was a proper context menu.

Chris Russell Good to know, was not aware that some Gmail search operators are already implemented in Missive.

Missive has the worst search function of any email clients. We are a team of 20 and all use Gmail to search. Unusable for the most.

we also need some option to search only in subject or emailadress, just as an example we need to show all emails with the subject containing "ORD" but we get everything where ORD is mentioned (even included in domains/ message text, etc.) // This is essential for our work as we do have around 400 requestss a day - ending up in around 2000emails a day.
